The South Tyrol wellness treatments include also the ones based on thermal waters, like the radon baths which made Merano famous. This kind of waters has soothing and toning properties, und it helps the circulatory system as well. Balneotherapy in these cold and radioactive waters is available in Merano and Rasun Anterselva (German: Rasen Antholz). This therapeutic water given also under the form of drink, mud baths, hydro massages and aerosol therapy. The radon water is also useful to cure the oral infections and to stimulate the endocrine activity.
